Formed in Presicce, Italy in 1993, Borrower quickly established themselves with early demos like Black Fire and Barrier of Truth, later followed by their 1996 self titled release Borrower, which cemented their distinctive heavy and progressive sound. Over the years, lineup changes and collaborations with other acts further shaped their identity. After periods of pause and side projects, the original members reunited in 2016, eventually releasing the A Plague Chapter… EP in 2018, introducing theatrical elements, masks, and a cinematic flair to their live performances.
Strengthened by the addition of Matteo Marzo on bass, Borrower returned with renewed energy and began work on their upcoming album Killerdemons. The lead single Dream on Fire encapsulates their signature mix of powerful riffs, progressive arrangements, and vivid atmospheric tones.
Appealing to listeners of Motörhead, Dio, Judas Priest and fans of both thrash and prog influences, Borrower are ready to reaffirm their presence in the hard rock and heavy metal landscape through their new partnership with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.
